Much more than a cultural activity
Last Friday we once again organised one of the activities our students enjoy the most: a vermut in Spanish.
After such a positive experience last time, we decided to return to Les Cosines, a cosy bar where we felt comfortable from the very beginning. Barcelona is full of places where you can enjoy the vermut tradition, but some places slowly become special because of the conversations, the laughter, and the people you share them with.
We met at the typical vermut time and, between olives, tapas, and conversations, spent a wonderful morning speaking Spanish in a relaxed and natural atmosphere.
What we love most about these activities is the mix of people who take part. Students from extensive courses, private lessons, and conversation classes all come together. Some are beginners, while others already speak Spanish fluently. Some have just arrived in Barcelona, while others have been living here for years.
And that is exactly where the magic happens.
These activities give us the opportunity to meet interesting people, discover their stories, learn about their professions, and understand why they chose Barcelona and how they are experiencing life in the city. Little by little, conversation after conversation, we are building something very special: a real DIME community.
An international, open, and welcoming community that keeps growing stronger every day through language, culture, and shared experiences.
Because learning Spanish is also about feeling part of a place and connecting with the people around you.
