America’s cup

The oldest and most important sporting competition in the world of sailing.

Barcelona La Copa América

Barcelona is hosting the 37th edition of the America’s Cup (August 22 - late October), becoming the first city in the world to have hosted the three most important global sporting events: the Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, and the America’s Cup.

The participating teams are based at Port Vell, where several areas will be set up for spectators to follow the competition.

For the first time in history, a category dedicated exclusively to women has been included: the Puig Women's America's Cup.

Competition and Public Spaces

At Moll de la Fusta, you'll find the Race Village, which features a stage and giant screens. Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays from August 22 to October 27, from 12:00 to 22:00.

Fan zones (free) have been set up at Plaza del Mar and Bogatell. These areas allow fans to view the racing area directly and will also have giant screens.

Plaza de la Rosa dels Vents offers fantastic views of the teams as they enter and exit the harbor. The competition can also be viewed from Port Olímpic and the beaches of Sant Miquel, Barceloneta, and Somorrostro.
