Friday's Culture Class: The Festivals of Spain

This morning, the students at Dime had the chance to enjoy an interesting class about Spanish festivals.

The activity, open to all groups and levels of Spanish, was very successful, and many students participated in the session. Our teacher, Cristina Ruiz, explained what the main celebrations in Spain are.

The students learned about the parades of the Canary Islands' Carnival and the Chirigotas of the Cádiz Carnival. They discovered the importance of fire in the Las Fallas festival in Valencia, and they understood the passion with which people celebrate Holy Week in Seville.

They also learned more about local celebrations, such as the Girona Flower Festival and the Sant Joan Festival in Catalonia.

It was a very interesting and fun class.
